Committed to higher achievement for every student in West Virginia, The
Education Alliance will carry out its strategic plan – Framing The Future
– over the course of the next decade. During this timeframe, the Alliance
will look beyond the status quo toward those conditions needed to drive
positive change:
A sense of urgency and purpose;
Knowledge of
what works/what to do; and
A shared
willingness to collaborate.
Undertaking Leadership For Change, The Education Alliance must shift
from a strategy of support and influence to one of active involvement. The
initiative will put into practice two decades of experience and a careful
analysis of the situation at hand. The Alliance will bring all
stakeholder within an environment of respect, legitimacy and credibility
in order to confront the needs and realities of teachers, schools,
parents, businesses and public officials. Through these efforts, the
Alliance will deliver leadership, facilitation, brokering and unassailable
information of what works to all partners involved.
