On June 5, 2003 The Education Alliance
honored three graduates of West Virginia public schools who have
distinguished themselves through exemplary achievements and for their
loyalty to the state.
The
Alliance honored Mrs. Ruby Carter, a member of the Retired Teachers
Association, director of the Carter Family Foundation, and well-known
community leader and humanitarian, a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
General
Robert Foglesong, Vice Chief of Staff, United States Air Force, a graduate
of Williamson High School. The Alliance also honored one of West Virginia’s
most beloved leaders and most respected attorneys posthumously:
Mr.
John McClaugherty, a graduate of Princeton High School who recently passed
away after a lifetime of service to West Virginia.
