In 2001, The Education Alliance started the Apple Legacy, which acknowledges annual contributions of $500 or greater with a commemorative glass apple. Each year, a different color is selected to represent distinct accomplishments of The Education Alliance. The Apple Legacy will end in 2008 as the Alliance celebrates its 25th year serving the students of West Virginia. The Education Alliance plans to mark this milestone with a ruby red apple. The apples are hand-crafted by Blenko Glass Company in Milton, West Virginia.

2007—Lime Green represents growth of our programs over the past two decades.

2006—Clear represents our statewide presence in the Mountain State.


2005 – Orchid represents community involvement

2004 – Topaz Yellow represents quality programs

2003 – Cobalt Blue represents our 20th Anniversary

2002 – Tangerine represents golden opportunities
 

2001 – Seafoam Green represents stewardship
