The Education Alliance utilizes a three-tiered approach in its fundraising efforts: encouraging "high-engagement" philanthropy, creating tools and products to educate new and existing patrons, and leveraging connections by continuing strong relationships with donors.

Through fundraisers and "friendraisers," The Education Alliance is able to sustain and grow its programs, while increasing public awareness about its programs and services. The Education Alliance has made unique contributions to West Virginia communities and strives to provide contributors with distinctive opportunities to contribute to West Virginia's public schools.

Through the Office of Development, The Education Alliance is not only looking for financial support, but reaches out to individuals and corporations who share the organization's values and vision. Well-planned events serve as an occasion for The Education Alliance to express its gratitude to the public it serves. More than any other kind of fundraising strategy, events raise money and awareness concurrently.
