Since 1983, the Mini-Grants for Classroom Projects arm of The Education Alliance has been rewarding West Virginia public schoolteachers for innovativeness and creativity that offers their students opportunities beyond current curriculum requirements. With more than $1.1 million awarded to-date, The Education Alliance provides funding for up to $1,000 per project.
Eight review committees from across the state decide on winners for their own Regional Education Service Agency (RESA) based on the thoroughness of the proposal, adherence to application guidelines, innovativeness of the project and benefit of the project for students. Visit the Guidelines and Helpful Hints pages to learn more about program guidelines and for brainstorming and writing help. Thanks to our sponsors… This program would not be possible without them. The continuing generosity of BrickStreet Insurance, Carter Family Foundation, Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley, The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation, The Huntington Foundation, Mylan Charitable Foundation, State Farm Insurance Companies, TOYOTA Motor Manufacturing West Virginia, Inc. and West Virginia Humanities Council have funded thousands of mini-grant projects across the state and in their local areas. Thanks to our teachers… It is also because of great teachers like you that this program exists and continues to bring new, exciting experiences into West Virginia classrooms.
