Selected by each local Family Resource Network (FRN) and representing a
cross section of each community in terms of stakeholder groups, cultural and
socioeconomic diversity and educational attainment, the Community Dialogue teams
are the foundation of this initiative. Led by a trained facilitator, community
members on a 20-person committee in each county will develop their own county
plans for addressing quality teaching. Each group will determine three goals
that must be addressed at the county level to ensure that every classroom has
quality teaching by a caring professional and three goals that must be addressed
at the state level to ensure that students throughout West Virginia receive
quality teaching.
The six goals established by each of the Community Dialogue Groups will be
utilized during the second phase of the plan, the Research Study Team.
